‘White Sox Post Staggering Seventh Consecutive Title’

The 45+ Chesapeake White Sox finished the 2016 season with a 15-6-1 record scoring 231 runs while only giving up 99. This marks the seventh consecutive year the White Sox have won both the regular season and post season double elimination tournament in the Chesapeake MSBL.
For the post season tournament the White Sox went 3-0 beating the A’s 16-5, the Cardinals 7-4 and in the championship game exploded for 11 runs in the sixth inning after being tied 4-4 to claim the crown 16-4 over the Tigers.
The team was led by strong pitching efforts by Steve Hoffmann, Bob Engelmeyer, Rick Cannon, Jeff Pate, Pat Overton and Ron Ebelein.
Driving the offense was Alex Brunet, Dub Daniels, Dave Eason, Howard Jones, Frank Raska, Bill Ratford, Sal Rosselli, Mark Robey, Doug Rupple, Gerry Shay, Glen Vance, Wayne Vance, Joe Walsh, Paul Whit and Kevin Williams.
