‘2017 Hopes to Be Their Breakthrough Year’

After a disappointing 2015 championship defeat at the claws of the Tigers, the Athletics of the Redwood Empire MSBL looked to rebound in the 2016 season with a run to finish what they started the previous season.

The 2016 season was a great year for the Athletics as we finished the regular season as the second seed going into the playoffs. For the second consecutive year the Athletics made the American League championship series, this time to face their biggest rivals in the Angels. But the Athletics were left with broken hearts yet again as the Angels dominated with a sweep over the Athletics.

The Athletics look to make a return to the championship in 2017 in hopes that the third time is a charm.
