‘Cryo Posts 17-0-1 Regular Season Mark’

In the Sacramento MSBL 40+ National (Upper) division, the Vacaville Cryo, which is sponsored by US Cryotherapy – www.uscryotherapy.com, tied their very first game of the season and then ran off 17 straight wins to win the #1 seed in the playoffs with a 17-0-1 regular season.

The Cryo dispatched a pesky Rebels team 8-3 in the first round of the playoffs and faced the RC Dodgers in the three game Championship Series.

The RC Dodgers, behind a Herculean effort from pitcher Tim Halverson who amazingly pitched all 27 innings in the championship series, defeated the Cryo in three tough games 4-2, 4-6 and 8-6.

The Cryo was a very balanced team all year with solid performances in all phases of pitching, defense and hitting. The Cryo outscored their opponents in the regular season to the tune of 259 to 65 while averaging 14 runs per game and giving up only 3.5. Unfortunately, as the recently departed Yogi Berra used to say, “it ain’t over till it’s over” and the RC Dodgers found a way to get by us in the championship series. It was great fun and a great year for the Cryo!
