‘Cole Pitches and Hits Pirates to Title’

The Salt Lake Pirates finished the regular season strong with a 16-1 record. We avenged our only loss, which was to the outsiders whom we faced in the championship, by winning 18-2.

Jeff Cole threw a four-hit complete game and banged two home runs at the dish. Our bats were alive as we hit seven home runs. Zeb Deede hit two home runs, Jason Gordon hit two home runs, Jeff Cole hit two home runs and Casey Getzelman hit one.

This was an all around great game by the Pirates. I want to thank all the friends and family that came out and supported us and allowed us to be kids for three hours a week!
