‘Brady Field Throws and Hits the Pirates to the Crown’

After giving up a two-run home run to the Rockies Tony Peterson in the first inning, Pirate pitcher Brady Field only allowed one unearned run the remainder of the game to shut down the powerful Rockies line-up. The Rockies had the best record in the spring, so the lopsided championship game was a big surprise. Pirates pitcher Brady Field also went 5 for 5 at the plate in the win and Pirates Joe Robinson and Tom Campos also had four hits apiece. Rockies pitcher Tony Peterson took the loss.
