2015 Gloucester Township Mariners Almost Get it Done in South Jersey

We began the season strong (6-2), only to lose five of our last eight games. One was on the last day of the regular season. We needed help to get into the playoffs and got in as the four seed. We played the top seed (defending Champs), a team we have only beaten once in the last five years. We lost the first game in a best of three, but swept them in two straight to get to the finals. One of the two wins was a ninth inning walk off! In the finals we won game one, but could not hold off the tough Marlins team as they won the title. Our team had the league Cy Young winner, Gabe Mastrangelo, and some other top players.

Regarding Gabe Mastrangelo, Gabe threw 110 innings, with a 7-4 record and 101 strikeouts! Lastly a couple final shout-outs, as we got some solid production from our club with Mike Pente(.418), Dan Laudisio (.377), Sam Segarra (.356), and Don Sachau (.328) all contributing to a great run. In the end we had an awesome season, playing 22 games and taking the season to the very last possible game, finishing 12-9-1.
