2015 D’Backs Hold Off A’s in Final Game of Seacoast 25+ Championship Series

‘Josselyn and Edwards Take Charge on the Hill and at the Plate’

The Semi Final games saw the Athletics upset the second seeded Astros 5-2 with Steve Anderson going the distance for the A’s while striking out 11 and giving up only four hits. Chad Averill and Kyle Faucher led the offense with two hits each.
The top seeded Diamondbacks defeated the defending champion White Sox 8-3 while Brian Josselyn picked up the win. Lucas Edwards picked up three hits while Jim Tino and Paul Brooks chipped in two hits each to lead the offense.
In the World Series game one, the Athletics, making their third straight finals appearance, took an 8-3 win. Pete Jordan went the distance for the win and Jay Bernotas chipped in four hits. Jeff Richard and DJ Grimes added two hits apiece to help power the offense.
Game two was a pitcher’s duel between A’s ace Anderson and D’backs Josselyn. Both went the distance with the D’backs coming away with a 2-1 victory.
Game three had Josselyn going the distance again, this time for a shutout victory. Edwards knocked in Tino for the game’s only run, giving the Diamondbacks the Championship with an exciting 1-0 victory.
