The Braves completed a perfect 16-0 season in the Indiana Baseball League with a 10-0 win over the Dodgers in the championship game on September 28, 2015. It is difficult to win a championship but to do it as an undefeated team is even better. We won the first game of our playoff 12-0 over the Cardinals. Joe Striewe pitched five innings of shutout ball in both playoff games.

In the championship game Keith Oehlman finished the last four innings without giving up a run as well. John Smith had a highlight play at shortstop along with getting three hits, including a double and two RBI’s. Matt Boyd came up with two hits and also added two walks while Kevin Dotson chipped in two RBI’s to help the cause. Don Pollard contributed some great play in center field and laced a huge two-out hit scoring two to cap off a five run first inning. Graig Collings had a solid game with two hits and two RBI’s. Greg Rubio added a nice hit and an RBI and Mike Fisher roped a hit while scoring twice.

There was a lot of clutch hitting that was assisted by some great fielding by Scott Golden in left and Brian Wolff at first. All in all this was a truly special 16-0 championship season for the Braves. It was a great team effort building a perfect season for a great team.
