In their 16th season the Athletics finished 14-4 in the Southern Wisconsin MSBL 35-over division, including an 11-game winning streak that didn’t end until the bottom of the 10th inning in the league tournament championship game. Superb performances by pitchers Jeff Stone and Billy Coker and solid defense by the middle infield duo of John Kas and Mike Schoonfield led the nice long run. In a season which saw the parity in the Southern Wisconsin League develop more than ever before the A’s went 8-2 in their one run games.
