The Savannah Rays are champions in the 23+ division of the Savannah Adult Baseball League located in Savannah, Georgia. In a hard fought game the Rays held on to a one run lead to win the game 3-2 over the Savannah Bombers.

Pitchers for both teams went the distance pitching complete games. On Sunday, it was Matt Oglesby that was able to come out with the win. The Rays had to hustle to score their runs and went up 1-0 in the top of the first inning. The Bombers quickly answered and took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second with a few solid base hits. Caleb Cribbs singled, stole second, and scored on a close play at the plate for the Rays second run. The game would remain tied heading into the top of the fifth as a lead off double by Steven Latham, a pass ball advancing him to third and a sacrifice fly by Devin Deskins gave the Rays a 3-2 lead.
That was all Oglesby needed as he struck out two batters in the seventh inning and was able to force a ground ball to second base to end the game.
The three game series was hard fought an had two games decided by one run. The Rays and Bombers can be proud of successful seasons and a stellar series.
