In one of the most epic and greatest game ever in a MSBL championship game, these two teams had a classic battle. The Indians jumped out to a 6-1 lead after four and a half innings. The Outlaws scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to trail 6-5. The Outlaws scored a run in the eighth inning to tie the score. It was tied until the 12th inning when the Indians scored to take a 7-6 lead. The Outlaws countered with a run to tie it up at 7-7.

The Outlaws won in the bottom of the 14th inning on a bases loaded walk on a 3-2 pitch. The winning pitcher Wes Warfield, who pitched all 14 innings, to earn game MVP. This outstanding game featured two great teams today. Congratulations to Outlaws coach Brian Krupp and Indians coach Sean Fennell. Both of them are class men and have classy teams! This was a great way to end the 2014 Portland MSBL baseball season.

Added Outlaws manager Brian Krupp, “We had another great year and won despite not having the most talented team. I am sure you are aware of the effort put into making the Portland league function from Randy Clemo and Scott Thorne. These two men have been instrumental to allowing us players the opportunity to bring our families out to watch us play this game we all love. I can’t say enough about their passion and time they put in.”
