2014 Mudhens Sweep Angels to Claim 28+ Rock League Title

Game 1 – Mudhens 8, Angels 5

The Angels scored first in the first inning on a two-run single and the Mudhens posted two in the third inning, two in the fifth inning, and three in the sixth inning to take the lead and never gave it back. Joel Hoberg was 2-2 for the Mudhens and Tom Johns went all nine innings for the Mudhens in the effort

Game 2 – Mudhens 12, Angels 3

This was a back and forth game heading into the third inning with five total lead changes. The Mudhens scored three in the third inning to finally stave off the Angels for the day, posting two more in the fourth, fifth inning, as well as three more in the sixth inning. Nate Boman racked up three RBI¹s while going 3-3, Jacob Andersen homered for the Mudhens and went 2-3.

Special consideration goes to manager Mike Zimmerman on perhaps the most
well-managed game of the season, as well as the Mudhens starters for their
near-flawless execution of multiple hit-and-runs, bunts, steals, etc.
