Submitted by Joe Slater, Mets manager
The Mets won their second straight Capital District (NY) MABL Championship, becoming the first 18+ division team to repeat since 2008. The Mets capped an impressive run in which they went undefeated for nearly three straight months. After losing two of their first three games to the East Greenbush Brewers, the Mets went an amazing 24 straight games without a loss, including sweeping the playoffs, avenging their early season losses to the Brewers in the Championship Series, winning the series 3-0. Pitchers Joe Slater and Brady Farkas were named Co-MVPs of the Playoffs, both going 3-0 with a sub 1.00 ERA. Including playoffs, Slater went 10-0 on the season with Farkas 9-1.
Offensively in the playoffs, the Mets were led by Greg Jette, Nate Novak, and Carlos Maldonado.
