Lincoln Abrahams 3, Crown City Cubs 0

Submitted by Paul Cosaro, Abraham’s manager

This was the Lincoln Abrahams’ inaugural season in the MSBL. The team is made up of a collection of friends and old teammates, so a sense of camaraderie and unselfishness was felt right off the bat. The team won their division with a 16-4 record.

Pitching was a major factor in their success, with the team leading the league in ERA and strikeouts. The team then took their league leading record into the playoffs, where they fought hard to win the championship. The 3-0 Championship game victory over the Crown City Cubs was highlighted by a 3-hit, 12-strikeout complete game shutout by league Cy Young winner Rory Meister…in 102 degree heat!
