2014 Dodgers Win Division in 45+ Arizona MSBL

Arizona MSBL 45+ Central Division

This was a great season as we had some veteran players on the team and we were successful because we had good pitching. We had ex- Major leaguer Chuck Hensley Jr, Rory Conway and Tim Ramsey and were able to keep the other teams’ pitcher’s heads spinning with our speedsters on the bases, especially Dave Krug, Ariel Perez and John Adam. We also had some big bats in the lineup with Les Body, Dave Dowel and Tim White. These were just a few of our stars but the whole team contributed to this season.

Our biggest game was a comeback win against the National Teams Division Winning teamthe 45 Angels, who would not lose again. My best part of the season was being told by almost every player on the team that this was their best season since playing adult recreation baseball. Previous to this season we had some very tough seasons. Our first season we went winless and gave up over 500 runs. The year before this season I was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer, my father was diagnosed with dementia and later passed and my brother fell off a ladder and sustained life changing brain injuries. Through all of this my baseball friends and family supported me and kept my mind off the unfortunate realities of life. I can’t say enough about our league presidents Lou McAnanyand John Silingo for keeping our league the best it can be.
