The Dallas Orioles, managed by Anthony Cass, finally made it to the top of the American Division a year after losing in the finals in the North Texas Amateur Baseball League. Tim Hanan (right) started the game, the undisputed ace of the Orioles staff and winner of 12 games on the season, and threw six strong innings giving up one run. The Orioles defense was on point for Hanan, turning three double plays behind him.
The game was tight until about the fifth inning when a bases loaded triple from second baseman Luc de la Soujeole broke the game open and the Orioles took an 8-1 lead. Little was in doubt after that as the Orioles cruised home to a 10-2 victory over the BlackSox and claimed their first NTABL American League Spring Championship. The Dallas Orioles look forward to defending their title in 2015 and beyond.
