‘Pirates Post Amazing Seventh Title in a Row’

In the year of recovery, as COVID continues to threaten our days, the mighty Pirates fought through another challenging season. Finishing with a .800 winning percentage and a league-leading run count of 55 more than the second-place team, the 25+ Fort Worth Pirates swept the playoffs and took home their seventh straight Championship in 2021!

On the back of heavy sluggers Jimmy Dominey and David Allison, the Pirates fueled the year with doubles and triples for more total bases than any other year. The new arm of Caleb Bush, having 10 Ks in his first start as a Pirate, and the steady performances by TR Waszkiewicz and Trey Benedict, proved too much for competing offenses to overcome. Brilliant defense by center fielder Matthew Hernandez, second baseman Matt Moreno, and non-stop energy from catcher Robbie Johns held up against most rallies in the making throughout the season. Also, timely resurges of wood by right fielder Ben Gloff and left fielder Justin Kettler gave boosts when prime opportunities arose.

During the Championship game, amidst a record turnout, the Pirates came back from an early 3-run deficit to take and keep the lead for a certain victory, 8-3, over a charged Warrior team that had beaten the Pirates in the last two meetings. Holding high the trophy of their dynasty, #7thHeaven, the team praised God for the time, physical and emotional ability, and comradery to play yet another winning season.
