Tim Burkitt Logs 400th Victory at Sacramento Men’s Senior Baseball League

(photos courtesy of Jane Burkitt) Tim Burkitt pitched his 400th MSBL win last week while playing for the Royals at the new Sacramento MSBL Army Depot Fields, our new SMSBL home. Tim has 20+ national and regional rings, numerous SMSBL Championships and is one of the longest running pitchers in MSBL history. He was also inducted into the Sacramento MSBL Hall of Fame in 2014.
He accumulates the most innings pitched year in and year out, as he plays on multiple teams. Tim is the best team mate anyone could hope to have and is very humble and I probably wouldn’t even have known about this amazing accomplishment if not for his catcher, MSBL Hall of Famer Steve Welch.
Added Tim’s wife and Sacramento MSBL official photo journalist Jane, “Tim started playing adult baseball in 1994 with the Free Agents shortly after we started dating, a team he still plays on today and manages. Tim started playing in the MSBL in 1997 and I have been to almost all of his league games over the years and many of the MSBL tournaments in Arizona, Florida and Las Vegas. Tim loves to pitch and I enjoy watching him. He never turns down an opportunity to pitch because he just loves the game.”
