Stuart Chernis Receives Prestigious 2025 Career Achievement Award at Puget Sound Senior Baseball League

Below is a special achievement from the Puget Sound Senior Baseball League. Stuart Chernis was presented with the 2025 Career Achievement Award! Here is his story:

6/25/2025…Congratulations and a well-deserved 2025 Career Achievement Award to PSSBL player/manager, former Board member, and baseball ambassador Stuart Chernis. Stuart was honored June 25th prior to the Titans vs. Rubber Ducks game, part of the Midweek Daytime Baseball experience he helped champion.
Stuart has been part of the PSSBL for 30 seasons as a 3B/2B/P and GM. His teams over the years include the Sierra Eagles, Sierra Bulls, Rocky Blue Rocks, Teton Jaxx and Adirondack Solar Sox.
Stuart also gave of his time and talent, serving 11 years on the PSSBL Board of Directors. He was Rocky Division Commissioner for 8 of those years and served as league Vice President from 2010-2012. In 2006, he received the Bob Gilnick Commissioner’s Award, which recognizes an outstanding Board member.
Stuart’s name is added to an esteemed list of those PSSBL members who have received Career or Lifetime Achievement Awards. 2014 – Jim Fleming; 2015 – Ken Combs; 2016 – “Seattle Stu” Fitelson; 2017 – Jerry Duris; 2018 – Larry Webb; 2019 – Al Manter; 2020 – Bob Sorenson; 2021 – Bruce Morrison; 2023 – Dan Ozment Sr.; 2024 – Stu Johnson.
