Puget Sound Announces 2022 Hall of Fame Inductees

By Tom Evans Krause, League President

Since its founding in 1989, the Puget Sound Senior Baseball League has been the home to many outstanding ballplayers.  The PSSBL Hall of Fame was established in 2011 to honor those exhibiting exceptional performance on the field, in administrative duties, or both.

Now in our 33rd season, the 2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place in the Ellis Pavilion at T-Mobile Park on June 13th.  A record crowd of 150 turned out to honor this year’s inductees.  The ceremony was followed by a buffet and the Mariners game against the Minnesota Twins.

Teammates, family, friends, and league officials gathered to fête eight individuals.  Congratulations to each one of these deserving players!  In addition to being premier athletes, they are great ambassadors for the PSSBL and the game of baseball.  They join 65 players previously inducted into “The Hall”.

Here is the 2022 Class entering the PSSBL Hall of Fame (L to R): Ken Combs, Bill Mayovsky, Chet Morgan, Brad Cline, Jeff Austin, Brett Lee, Troy Hanson, Jeff Naranjo

Special thanks to the PSSBL Hall of Fame Committee, chaired by former PSSBL President Jeff Kyger.  Kudos to the Seattle Mariners and staff, who provided excellent service and hospitality for our group. Photo credit: Jason Becker
