By Steve LaMontia-Carlentini, MSBL Director of Communications
The New York Astros have been a mainstay in the Long Island MSBL for the past 30 years! Yes, the core of this team has been together for the past 30 years! Currently under the guidance of manager Frankie Parisi, he recently took on the daunting task of compiling a distinct Astros history lesson for all to see.
As Frankie points out in the prologue, “This book is dedicated to the families, friends, and supporters who stood behind us, cheered from the sidelines, and understood that baseball was never just a game to us. Most of all, this story was written as a labor of love for the team, for men’s baseball, and for the Astros family.”
This picture-laden accounting is knee-deep in nostalgia, the ups and downs that steered them to their anniversary year of 2026, league and tournament results and history, and the players who got them to this point.
