MSBL/MSBL Players of the Week: Cody Ferguson and Seth Hochberg, DCMSBL

On a day when the heat index reached 108 in Alexandria, Virginia, Cody Ferguson and Seth Hochberg had ice in their veins. In a win-or-go-home playoff game against last year’s champions, Cody pitched all 10 of our innings for a 6-5 victory for the DC Marvels of the 30+ Division in the DCMSBL. He allowed two earned runs, had eight Ks, and threw a heavy sinker that resulted in three double plays.
Seth called a great game, threw out a baserunner, and threw out the runner at second while backing up the first baseman on an overthrow in the bottom of the 10th, which was the game-saver.
Cody, who is in his first year with DCMSBL, threw a career-high 130 pitches. Seth is in his second year with DCMSBL and is always hustling and working his tail off behind the dish.
