Eternal Bonds of Father/Sons and Baseball: Todd Lewis, Son of MSBL Hall of Fame Member Val Lewis

Provided by MSBL Hall of Fame member Val Lewis
Todd Lewis is the son of MSBL Hall of Fame member and Father/Son division legend Val Lewis from the Sacramento MSBL. Val and MSBL Founder and President Steve Sigler got together in 1998 to discuss Val’s vision of constructing a Father/Son division as part of the annual MSBL World Series in Arizona. To say that the concept has become successful is an understatement!

As of July 23rd, 33 Father/Son teams were registered for this year’s World Series. The division has skyrocketed to the most anticipated event of the entire three-week spectacle.
Todd spoke recently at a gathering, explaining what the Father/Son baseball bond means to he and Val, and now to his son, who is part of the generational baseball bloodline.
“Todd is a bank president and attends a national banking conference every year,” explained Val. “They asked him to give a personal presentation on what he does outside of banking. That was an easy subject for Todd!”
His speech is mesmerizing and one to absorb not just as a potential Father/Son participant, but as someone who loves our great game and what it represents.
