EC Cardinals Dominate 4th Annual Labor Day Mitchell Hash Benefit Tournament in Fredericksburg, Virginia

The East Coast Cardinals 25+ and 40+ division entries won the 4th Annual Labor Day Mitchell Hash Benefit Tournament going a combined 8–1 record.

The EC Cardinals players came from across the country to enjoy the sunshine and excellent ballparks of Fredericksburg, Virginia. In the EC Cardinals’ typical style, pitching and defense were leading the way. Both teams hit the baseball.

The EC Cardinals 40+ offense scored 67 runs on their way to a 4-1 record and Championship over the Fort Myers Spirits.

Led by shortstop MVP Fred Falkowski, the offense was also powered by Larry Hingle, Matt Branz, Joe Ferrando, and Matt Stevens. The Cardinals also benefited from outstanding defense by Israel Gonzalez Salaberrios (SS), Joe Ferrando (3b), Fred Falkowski (2b), and Mike Fangilula (cf).

Other players who contributed to the Cardinal’s success were Jeremy Hafer, Sam Parkins, Jim Lacki, Todd Perry, Danny Thomson, Joe Hahn, Steve Hoffmann, and Jim Rice.

The EC Cardinals 25+ offense outscored their opponents 65–13 on their way to a 4-0 record and Championship over the DC Mariners.

Led by MVP Danny Hurlimann, the offense was also powered by Larry Hingle, Matt Branz, Jesse Litsch, and Ryan Sullivan. Dominant pitching by the staff of Mike Reavy, Eric Myer, Sage Sammons, Matt Stevens, Steven Trader, and Tom Schaupner held the opponents in check all tournament.

Other contributing players were Jeff Christian, Don Ferbert, Jay Kenyon, Jordan Kowalski, Sam Parkins, Patrick O’Neil, Alex Seifert, and Jeff Wilson.
