Chicago Central MSBL Celebrates Opening Day with Tribute to Brian Hickman

Chicago Central MSBL logo with crossed bats.“Our opening day went well, though it was cold. But we got the first game in, despite the Chicago April weather.  We had a ceremony before the first game, where Terri Williams, the widow of our board member, Brian Hickman, who passed away over the winter, came and threw out the first pitch.  We posted the following tribute to Brian on our website home page.”

“The Chicago Central MSBL remembers board member and 53 Islanders player Brian Hickman, who passed away on February 13th. Brian had been on our board of directors for seven years, often tasked with the unenviable duty of straightening out all our paperwork requirements and keeping our rule book fresh and accurate. We send our thoughts and sympathies to Hick’s friends and family.”

Below are some images from opening day.
