Bombers Hold On to Victory as Orioles Almost Erase 4-Run Deficit to Win the American Division of the Rocky Mountain Baseball Bash

The Bombers got out to a 4-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 4-3 victory over Orioles on Sunday. Orioles closed the gap by scoring on a single and a single.  The Bombers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Thomas Meals singled, scoring one run, and Caleb Wade doubled, scoring two runs.

Kasey Campbell hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth for the Bombers.

Hunter Crisp earned the win for Bombers. The hurler surrendered nine hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none. Will Gabriel took the loss for Orioles. The hurler went nine innings, giving up four runs on 10 hits, striking out 10 and walking four.

Jeremiah Struble led things off on the hill for Bombers. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking none. Eric Norman collected the save. Alec Ortiz appeared in relief for Bombers.

The Bombers accumulated 10 hits in the game. Eric Norman and Thomas Meals each collected two hits for Bombers. Caleb Wade went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.

The Orioles collected 13 hits in the game. Matt Vincent went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Marcus, Cooper Seaman, Ruben Hernandez, and Landon Moran each collected multiple hits for Orioles.

Kasey Campbell was selected as the MVP hitting .429 with 10 quality at bats, 5 RBIs, 6 hits, 2B, 3 HRs, 1.143 slugging percentage.
