MSBL Player of the Week: Dave Stokley, Cleveland MSBL

Dave Stokley has been playing for over 15 years with the Dirtbags in the Cleveland MSBL 25-and-over league.  The third baseman had quite a day at Opening Day on May 17th.  He had already gotten three hits and made some stellar plays at third base when the Kielbasas rallied in the top of the seventh to close the lead to 7-6.

Dave was leading off the bottom of the seventh, and he came through with a mammoth blast to left that was literally a dinger – it clanged off the middle of the foul pole in left at the ballpark in Avon, Ohio.  This served as a rallying cry for the Dirtbags, who proceeded to bat around and put the game out of reach.  Dave pitched one inning of relief to cap off his big day.
