2025 World Series logo, Tempe, Arizona. The Boston Wolfpack celebrated their 25th Anniversary by winning their second consecutive 60+ National MSBL World Series over the North County Waves, 16-1.  The Pack lost twice to the Waves in pool play but finally were able to defeat them in the Championship.  Boston got strong and consistent hitting all week from MVP Jose Delgado, who got on base 22 times for the week, four times in the final, including a double.

Boston went 4-2 in pool play, losing twice to the Waves but soundly defeating the Lines, Royals, and Mustangs.  The semifinal pitted the Pack against Brad Beattie and the Tulsa Lines, whom Boston has competed against for 23 years in the MSBL World Series, losing to them in the first wood bat division finals in 2003.

Led on the mound by Mike Smith, the Pack jumped on Tulsa with three runs in the first on doubles by Eddie Fuller and Delgado and hits by Oscar DuranGerman Rivera, and Enrique Ayala.  Boston then got four more runs in the second with a parade of hits from Jack Held, Fuller, Jose Ponce, with Delgado, Duran, and Rivera again leading the Pack to an 8-3 win.  The Liners battled until the end, led by Jeff Schafer’s 3 hits and Burt Beattie with a pair.

The Final pitted the top-seeded Waves against the Wolfpack, whom they defeated twice in pool play. Boston took advantage of a Waves’ error in the second after the pitcher loaded the bases on two HBPs and a walk. Another walk and HBP, and the score was 3-0 for the Pack.  Then a 7-hit fourth broke open the game as six more Wolfpack players scored, putting the game out of reach for North County.

The Pack got a strong pitching performance by Urbano Leal , who was aided by three double plays in the first three innings.  Multiple hits in the final were put in by Fuller, Ponce, Delgado, Duran, Rivera, Smith, and Held.  Bill Locken led the Waves with two hits.
