‘Bill Kazmjerczak a Difficult Out as Yonder Travelers 55+ Defeat Boston Wolfpack’

Bill Kazmjerczak collected three hits in five at-bats, as the Yonder Travelers 55+ defeated the Boston Wolfpack 8-3 on October 24th. Kazmjerczak singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the ninth.
Yonder Travelers were the first to get on the board in the first when Scott Marabell hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. A single by Whiten gave Boston Wolfpack the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first.
Yonder Travelers jumped back into the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Kazmjerczak singled to right field, and Lou Goehrig hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Dan Kopitzke earned the win for Yonder Travelers by allowing six hits and three runs (one earned) over nine innings, striking out seven and walking three. Foster took the loss for Boston Wolfpack. The Wolfpack starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering three runs on eight hits, striking out none, and walking two.
Yonder Travelers amassed 18 hits in the game, with Kazmjerczak, Goehrig, and Scott Sigafoose each collecting three hits. Javi Barragan, Goehrig, and Marabell each drove in two runs for Yonder Travelers. Steve Frellick and John Perry each collected multiple hits. This was a back-to-back championship for the Yonder Travelers in the 55+ division.
