MABL/MSBL Player of the Week: Jason Bendorf, North County (San Diego) MSBL

50-year-old Jason Bendorf has had a pretty amazing couple of weeks in the Spring championship season of the North County MSBL in San Diego.  Jason played across three divisions worth of playoffs; the 18 and over, 35 and over, as well as the 45 and over divisions, and was crowned a champion in all three!

In the 35 and over championship game Jason and the Tigers defeated the Legends and stopped their 7-season streak of titles by a score of 14-3.

Jason’s stat line – 2 for 4, 2 Runs, 1 RBI

In the 45 and over championship game, Jason aided the Sharks in defeating the Colt 45s by a margin of 7-3.

Jason’s stat line – 2 for 4, 1 Run, 1 RBI / 4IP, 3K’s, OER

To cap a sweep of Championship games, Jason and the first-year Tier 1 team pulled off a title in the 18 American division by defeating the Old Goats, 6-2.

Jason played in both the 45+, and 18+ Championship games on the same day as well as the 18+ semifinal game in between the 45 and 18 Championships games, where he played five innings in left field!
