Las Vegas Rattlers 19, Phoenix Padres 6

The Rattler’s tournament was filled with highs and lows. In the end, the players pulled together as a baseball family to bring home the championship.  The success was shared throughout the team, starting with an opening game complete game win, a clutch 2-out hit to put us in the playoffs, and stellar defense across the board.

We had some warriors on the mound throwing in multiple innings in consecutive games, setting us up for the Championship game with two healthy arms. The first playoff game was much of the same, strong performances on the mound combined with 2-out hits late in the game, including a 2-run home run to help propel us into the final game.

The Championship game was no different.  The bats came alive! The Rattlers scored in each of the first three innings to jump out to an early and commanding lead.  Stellar performances on the mound kept a very good Padres team at bay throughout the game.

Our competitive spirit and team unity never let up in the chase for the trophy.  The philosophy to “Play Hard and Have Fun” was evident not only on the field but off the field, as depicted in our team picture.   I’m proud of the guys and what we accomplished over the weekend.  Congrats Rattlers!
