Longtime Puget Sound member Bruce Morrison Passes Away After Battle with Cancer
Submitted by Thomas Evans Krause, Puget Sound Senior Baseball League president
Longtime player, GM, and friend, Bruce Morrison, passed away on August 30, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He had a 20+ year career in the PSSBL with the Green Jackets, Cyclones, Aqua Sox, and most recently, Crawfords and Osprey. For his substantial contributions, Bruce was recognized with a PSSBL Career Achievement Award this past spring.
Bruce also played in the MSBL World Series over 17 seasons in various age brackets. In addition, he played in the MSBL World Series not only in Father-Son but at one point in Father-Son & Grandson!
Bruce was also heavily involved in Seattle Mariners Fantasy Camps and managed multiple traveling teams to Palm Springs, Palm Desert, San Diego, and Monterey.
Friends, teammates, and opponents remember that Bruce was a one-of-a-kind – on and off the baseball field, plus he was an amazing ambassador of baseball and the PSSBL.
Bruce Morrison will be sorely missed! Please keep Bruce’s spouse, Becky, and his family in your prayers.
