Sacramento MSBL Veteran John Caputo Passes Away
Submitted by Scott Brown, Sacramento MSBL
John Robert Caputo (JC, nickels, 55) passed away recently after a long hard fight with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife Julie, daughter Erin and son Ben. John was on the Phillies for a few years then became one of the founding fathers of the Seals. John always had a smile on his face and was a social butterfly. When he wasn’t talking to his team, he could be seen chatting up the opposition about the last play or what beverages we would be enjoying after the game.
He was a great teammate and an even better person, he always had time to talk to you and always asked how you were doing. ‘JC’ loved baseball, absolutely loved everything about the sport. He had a passion for it. He loved all his teammates and all of his teammates loved him. He will be missed greatly and the Seals will never be the same without him.
