(October 23, 2021, Brewster, NY) The 3 Up 3 Down Organization held its 4th Annual Charity Poker Tournament on October 23, 2021, raising more than $22,300 for youth baseball and organizations that support those with developmental disabilities.  The annual event is the main fundraising tool of the organization and through four years has raised $125,000.

The charity was created in 2017 by Hudson Valley (NY) MSBL President Rick Stockfield.  To date, the organization has given away dozens of checks to local youth leagues throughout the tri-state areas as well as several other organizations such as LS Warriors, Baseball International, The Anderson Center for Autism, Green Chimneys, Blue Path Service Dogs, and the Fragile X Research Foundation.  The charity also gives the Dutchess County High School Senior of the Year a scholarship as well.

The event had 97 players including HVMSBL players Scott Alden, Bill Kean, and Matt Giagrande.  The winner earned a 2021 World Series of Poker Main Event Seat and an additional set of tournament entries for the final tablists (shown below).  Former New York Yankee Legend Roy White was guest of honor and Yankees Executive Ray Negron was also in attendance.

3 Up 3 Down will host its 5th Annual Event on March 26, 2022, moving back to its normal spring timing.  Former New York Yankee Jim Leyritz and World Poker Tour Commentator Tony Dunst will be guests of honor next spring.  For more information on 3 Up 3 Down and about our next event, you may visit www.3up3down.org and/or view us on social media (Facebook, Instagram #3up3downorg).
