2026 MSBL Player of the Week: Jimmy Hughes, Long Island MSBL
The Long Island Athletics 60+ team of the Long Island MSBL/MABL played the Massapequa Pirates on June 14th, and Jimmy Hughes racked up a very impressive day.
Jimmy was 4 for 5, including two singles, a double, and a two-run home run, knocking in six.
Manager Ed Jusino has been in the league for 39 years and had this to add: “Jimmy played at Iona College. He’s a pitcher and first-baseman and has been with the Athletics the last four seasons and is always a team leader in Batting Average, RBI’s, Home Runs, Slugging Percentage, and he’s also a great teammate!
