2026 MSBL Player of the Week: Alex Mondro, DCMSBL

We had a great game on May 17th where my Middleburg Red Sox beat the Nova Yankees, 12-2, as my starting pitcher, Alex Mondro, threw six outstanding innings, but he also went four for four hitting on a very hot 90-degree day.

Alex is on my 18+ Middleburg Red Sox in the DCMSBL, which I’ve had in the league for almost 35 years.

We are six wins and four losses and sit in fifth place in the ten-team division, and playing very well thanks to Alex and his brother Mitchell, who both went to college up in the Worcester Massachusetts area. They are both new from last fall.

I truly enjoy having this team to manage.  I don’t know what I would do without coaching the younger guys. It keeps me alive!
