Boston Wolfpack 16, Mustangs Baseball Club 1

The Boston Wolfpack defeated the Mustangs Baseball Club 16–1 to capture the 2026 Sunshine Classic 60+ Division title. Mike Smith pitched a complete game, and Jose Delgado was named the tournament MVP.

The Pack went 4–0 in the round robin, with victories over the Mustangs, Alabama Bandits, Maine Diamond Dogs, and Atlanta Astros. Boston’s offense was led by Delgado, David Oliver, Eddie Fuller, Luis Ramos, and German Rivera, and they were backed by strong pitching from Edgardo Mercado, JT Tomlinson, and Enrique Ayala.

The weather turned frigid on Playoff Sunday, but the Wolfpack bats stayed hot as they defeated the Bandits again in brutally cold wind and light rain behind Urbano Leal‘s complete-game effort.

This set up the expected final, a rematch with the Mustangs, with temperatures hovering in the 30s and low 40s. Unfortunately, the game got out of hand early after a couple of walks, a hit-by-pitch, and three outfield misplays helped the Pack score eight first-inning runs.

Richie Sexton had three hits and scored three times, while Efrain Nieves reached base four times. Smith earned the win, giving up one earned run with six strikeouts.
