Puerto Rico Royals 10, Rhode Island Salty Dogs 1

In innings one and two, the pitcher for the Salty Dogs kept us from scoring.  Our bats finally woke up and we scored one run in the third inning.  In the fourth we were able to add four more, making it 5-0.  We felt pretty good at this point.

We added one more in the fifth and then broke it open with four more in the sixth to make it 10-0.  The Salty Dogs scored one in the seventh to make it 10-1, which ended up being the final score.

Larry Guzman went six innings for the win, as Edgardo Mercado threw the final three.  Larry won two games for us.

Mike Smith was named MVP for the tournament.  He threw a complete game victory in the semi-finals and delivered all week long at the plate.

Other members who had a great championship game were Enrique Ayala (2-4), Luis Ramos (2-4), who had an overall great tournament, Jose Delgado (2-4),

Ronald Berrios (2-2), and Luis Diaz (2-4).

We finished the tournament with a 7-0 record and solidified our back-to-back championship!
