‘Smith Throws Shutout to Secure Championship’

During the pool play on Saturday, March 11th, Envision NW won the opening game against the Inland Angels 11-3 behind the pitching of Tracy Wheeler then lost to the Mustangs.  On Sunday, Envision beat Sechler and Associates, 13-7, and Las Vegas 60’s, 16-2 securing them a spot in the championship game on Monday.

Envision NW took the Championship Game, 7-0 over the Mustangs who had previously beaten Envision in pool play.  Michael Smith, the team MVP, pitched a masterful shutout complete game while striking out nine and walking one.  On defense, Envision was error-free in the championship game. Michael also hit .444 with three doubles, one triple, nine runs, and nine Rbi’s, while stealing five bases during the tournament.
