‘Wolfpack Repeat in 55+ National Division’

The Boston Wolfpack won the 2023 55+ National Division at the 2023 MSBL World Series with a 7-1 win over the FD 21 Bombers.  JT Tomlinson scattered six hits while getting multiple-hit support from Jose Ponce, Efrain Nieves, Jose Delgado, and David Benedict.

Boston got to the final with six pool-round victories behind solid pitching and defense.  Dean Borrelli, Michael Smith, and David Oliver had fine offensive performances.  Smith pitched a complete game win over the OC Sox in the semi-final.

The tournament featured the return of our friend and teammate Rodney Tafoya who had a massive stroke 18 months earlier and through his faith, hard work, and drive got himself well enough to attend the World Series.  Tafoya was greeted by many friends and teammates from his hundreds of MSBL games he’s played and it gave an extra boost to the Wolfpack’s play.  For that, Rodney was named the team’s MVP.
