The Charleston Curve defeated the Lehigh Valley Rail Riders 7-5 to capture the 45+ American Championship at the 2022 MSBL Holiday Classic. Jarrett Basden pitched three shutout innings in relief to get the win and finished the tournament with two wins and a 0.82 era. Jeremy Brownlee picked up the save pitching the final three innings while also going two for four at the plate with an RBI.

The Curve finished the tournament 5-2 with solid defense and pitching while hitting .375 as a team led by tournament MVP Jamie Steele.  Nat Stoner threw a complete game in the first playoff game striking out nine and also hit two home runs during the tournament. David Frommer hit .429 and also helped guide the pitching staff, as he caught the majority of the tournament.
