Sacramento Tribe 20, Paladin 10

Submitted by Pat Kelly

We lost our first game of the tournament to the San Diego Mudcats 2-1, as both starting pitchers threw all nine innings. We had eight hits and the Mudcats had four. Kevin Hagan pitched for the Tribe and Bill Howard pitched for the Mudcats.

Not an error was made and it was a fantastic game at any level. We ran the table after that first game, beating Paladin for the championship.

In our championship game Kenny Jungsten was our winning pitcher. I was fortunate enough to be awarded the MVP, but we had a team full of MVP’s. Everyone contributed and did an outstanding job.

Joe Soto did a great job of running the team, pulling all the right strings and leading us to the championship.
