‘Cardinals Go ‘Back to Back’ for 45+ National Title’

For the second consecutive year, the Vituro Health Cardinals won the 45+ National division championship at this year’s MSBL Holiday Classic. The Cardinals beat the Miami Mavericks 8-7, highlighted by a 3-run first inning home run by tournament MVP Joe Williams. Pitcher Steve Becker was the winning pitcher, throwing 7+ strong innings before being relieved by Cardinal closer Mike Johnson.

The Cardinals qualified for the playoffs by going undefeated in the bracket, and then defeating a very good Florida Yankees team. That game saw Cardinal pitcher Chris Evers throw a complete game gem!  Overall, great pitching and an offense that averaged 10 runs per game provided another Vituro Health Cardinals Championship!
