2016 Honor Roll Inductee: Aaron Eberhardt, Central Florida MSBL

Aaron Eberhardt is the president of the Central Florida Amateur Baseball League located in Lakeland, Florida, a city of just over 100,000 and also the spring training home of the Detroit Tigers. Previously an independent league, the CFABL is only in their second year under the MSBL flag and Aaron has steered this 20 team, 18-over ship very successfully into their second campaign in 2016.
For his hard work and dedication, MSBL Founder and President Steve Sigler is inducting Aaron into the 2016 class of the MSBL Honor Roll family. We asked Aaron to tell us a little about himself and what got him to this point. His comments are displayed below.

Where did you grow up? Miramar, FL then Port St. Lucie FL from ages 14-22
What do you do for a living? Security Engineer
Family information: I have two older siblings, a brother named Sean and sister named Heather. I assist with taking care of my mother due to her health issues.
General Questions:
Describe your baseball resume: From ages 9-12 I played Khoury League Baseball in Broward County for Miramar Optimist, Hollywood West Optimist, and Driftwood Optimist. I made the all-star team each year and played in the Khoury League World Series for team USA at age 12. At age 13 I played for Cooper City Optimist followed by Pembroke Pines Optimist (Little League). I played my high school ball for the Port St. Lucie (FL) Jaguars under coach Tony Malizia. That is the same high school where Rick Ankiel played.
What is your greatest baseball moment, either watching or playing? My greatest moment in baseball was the opportunity of playing for Team USA in the Khoury League World Series.
When did you start playing for MSBL and how did you hear about it? I started playing in the MSBL in 2015 and heard about it from one of the umpires officiating our games.

What is the best thing about your league? All of the great players and coaches which provide a great atmosphere of competitive fun.
Do you participate in any MSBL national tournaments? I have not yet, but I will this year.

Who is your favorite player of all time and why? David Justice – great contact hitter and all-around player, plus I am a huge braves fan.
Are there any additional personal comments you wish to add about your playing or life thus far? I am highly thankful and grateful for the relationship I have built with Steve Sigler and the MSBL.
