Manager Jim Ryan was pleased with his team’s victory in their first tournament together as a team. “This was the first time playing together with this team, we wanted to put it all together and our goal was to win the championship.”
Ryan also credits a solid all-around team effort for the victory. “We did the things we needed to do, our pitchers got outs, our guys drove in runs and we got on the board early. Getting an early lead always helps a pitcher.”
Ryan particularly enjoyed the family aspect of the tournament. “It’s always a great time coming here. This time, however, we made it a family trip, which makes it easier. We’re a close knit group.”
Ryan looks forward to returning to the tournament next year. “This is always a well run tournament and very competitive. We’re glad to be a part of it.”
