‘Courtorielle and Springford Shut the Door’

November 7, 2015, HoHoKam Stadium, Mesa, AZ – Alex Courtorielle and Doug Springford combined for a five hit, eight strikeout shutout in the championship game of the 2015 60+ Wood Bat Cactus Division MSBL World Series. Right fielder Don Bonham and player-manager, Lyle Lorenz, provided the run support with two RBI apiece. Courtorielle was named the MVP, as the starting pitcher provided three strikeouts in 5.2 innings of shutout ball to give the Canadians their second consecutive title.
