John Kelly Works Out in Charlotte for MSBL Fall Classic ‘4-Peat’ for the Carolina Pirates

By Steve LaMontia, Director of Communications

So, how do you stay in baseball shape when living in Charlotte, North Carolina?  Just ask John Kelly, league veteran and MSBL Fall Classic champion.

“I was fortunate enough before the shutdown to be able to purchase a weight set for home,” said Kelly.  “Unfortunately, I couldn’t talk the Mrs. into letting me set it up in the house!”

John is a member of the Carolina Pirates, a much-feared team who has every intention of heading back to the MSBL Fall Classic in Florida this November to make it a ‘4-Peat.

The first order of business, however, is to stay in shape and wait for the Charlotte Adult Baseball League to get back on the field, where John suits up in the 38-over division

“We’ll probably be playing a lot of double-headers, but that’s fine.  We’ll just fight through the lactic acid but at least we’ll be playing baseball again.  We’re all hoping to get back on the diamond soon!”

John was good enough to send us some pictures (below) of his grueling workout regimen.  There is little doubt he will be rearing to go!
