edition of the Pro Bats Yankees won the Chautauqua MSBL League Championship for
the second consecutive year with an 11-4 record, a team I am happy to be a part of. I am extremely proud of the fact that this is
the 25th anniversary of the league, which I am happy to mention I
started all those years ago, and the Yankees won the very first championship
and now we did it again 25 years later. The Yankees are a father/son entry in
this very competitive league, which makes this even more special.
Joe Pantano led the team and league with a .654 batting average. His hitting andoutstanding defense at shortstop was a huge part of our success. Joe
Polichetti hit .421 while Matt Pantano was right behind with .419. Matt Eaker led the pitching staff with a 5-1
hitting and strong defense were the keys to success this year. Rich
Hofer, Stoney Woodard, Jason Howard and Brent Carmello were solid two way
players all season.
