MSBL Player Spotlight: Kolin Zimmer, Bruce Brewster and Nick Dragash
We always
enjoy spreading the word about special achievements from around the MSBL
nation. Recently we had some pretty
special performances from Atlanta and Ohio. If something of note happens in your neck of the woods please send it
along to me at msbllamontia@aol.com. Play safe, everyone!

Kolin Zimmer plays in our 18+ Atlanta MABL Sunday League for the Peachtree Corners Blue
Jays. On August 6th Kolin pitched nine innings
with only one earned run
including a no hitter through six innings. The Angels tied it in the
ninth and then Zimmer broke the tie with a RBI single in the 10th leading to a
5-4 victory for the Blue Jays.
We also are
planning on entering the MSBL Fall Classic in November this year and really
look forward to it for our players and families.

Last weekend
we finished our regular season with a regularly scheduled game and a make-up
game against the Springfield 60's and I had two different players
with outstanding performances, one in each game.
In the first
game on Saturday, we won 16-3. In that game my 70-year old third baseman, Bruce
Brewster, went 4 for 4 with three singles and a double. Bruce also had a
sacrifice fly. In addition,
he scored two runs and drove in two more.
In Sunday's
make-up game we won by a 10-6 score. In that game one of my younger players,
60-year old Nick Dragash, who is a catcher and infielder, had a 4 for 5 day
with four line drive singles. Nick also
chipped in a sacrifice fly and a stolen base. In addition he scored three runs and drove in two more.
