‘Mike Smith Throws Complete Game Victory’

The Boston Wolfpack won the 55+ MSBL Kickoff Classic tournament going 5-0 with a 14-1 win in the final over the Diamond Dream Mustangs. The Pack got solid pitching and defense all weekend and were led in the hitting of Efrain Nieves, Mark Moise, Jose Delgado and David Oliver. Mike Smith pitched the complete game in the final to earn the win.
“The introduction of the Desert Diamonds Complex and the Marucci baseballs were huge plusses for the tournament as well as the great weather we had for Las Vegas in March,” said Moise after his four-hit performance in the final. The quality and character of the four teams that competed also added to the tournament experience.
This tournament was the 60th MSBL tournament competed in by the Boston Wolfpack and the 12th Kickoff Classic in their 20 years together. “Steve Sigler and his staff have afforded so many the opportunity to build great friendships and memories through these tournaments,” commented Smith after the game. “We are all truly fortunate and appreciative.”
